A Wilde Idea

Get ready to be transported back to the era of cuffs, manners, relatives and high society in StageIT's A Wilde Idea, an abridged adaptation of Oscar Wilde's The Importance of Being Earnest, and Salome.

In the first part of this double-bill, The Importance of Being Earnest, examines the themes of class division and reveals its relevance to society today.

The evening’s second play, Salomé - a seemingly simple one-act tragedy about the act of looking, demonstrates how, by consuming lust with our eyes, we are in turn ironically consumed by it.
